The " J/A " logo was started on Mother's Day of 2002. That was the day that Jim Auerbach passed on. .

 The backwards "R" logo was used from the beginning of the Company's founding. It was selected to represent "R-Back" , for the correct pronunciation of Jim Auerbach's name.
